MikroTik SXTsq Lite5 RBSXTsq5nD, also known as the SXTsq Lite5, is a compact outdoor 5GHz wireless CPE and point-to-point networking device designed for directional wireless connectivity. It features an integrated 16dBi directional antenna, dual-chain 802.11a/n wireless technology and a compact weather-resistant enclosure.
The SXTsq Lite5 is designed for applications such as point-to-point wireless links, outdoor customer premises equipment, network extensions and wireless connectivity between locations. MikroTik specifies a maximum theoretical wireless data rate of 300Mbps on its 5GHz radio. The actual throughput achieved in a deployment depends on signal strength, channel conditions, interference, distance, modulation and configuration.
Unlike the newer SXTsq 5 ac, this model uses Wi-Fi 4 / 802.11n technology and has a 10/100 Ethernet port rather than Gigabit Ethernet. MikroTik currently lists the RBSXTsq5nD as a discontinued product.
The MikroTik SXTsq Lite5 incorporates a 16dBi directional antenna into its compact enclosure. The directional design focuses the wireless signal toward the intended connection instead of providing broad omnidirectional coverage.
