The T315 measures temperature with typical accuracy of ±0.3°C / ±0.54°F and humidity with typical accuracy of ±3% RH. It updates measurement data every 2 seconds and supports a temperature measurement range of -20°C to 60°C and humidity range of 0% to 99% RH. A compatible Tapo Smart Hub is required for smart features such as remote monitoring, notifications, automation and data export.
The Tapo T315 is designed for users who want both real-time environmental monitoring and a physical display. Unlike a sensor that requires opening an app every time you want to check the temperature or humidity, the T315 continuously displays the current readings on its 2.7-inch E-Ink screen.
The reflective E-Ink display is designed to be easy to read from different viewing angles and remains visible in bright environments without the glare associated with conventional displays. It also shows temperature, humidity, comfort level, battery condition and wireless signal information.
The large 2.7-inch E-Ink display provides a clear, paper-like viewing experience with low power consumption. Large numbers make the temperature and humidity readings easy to see from a distance.
The display can show temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. A single press of the side button switches the temperature unit, while a double press changes the display position of temperature and humidity.
The Tapo T315 uses a Swiss-made sensor for accurate environmental measurements. Temperature and humidity readings are obtained and updated every 2 seconds, allowing users to monitor changes quickly.

Important: although the sensor can measure temperatures from -20°C to 60°C, the E-Ink display itself displays temperature from 0°C to 50°C. Readings outside the display range can be checked through the Tapo app.
When connected to a compatible Tapo Hub, the Tapo T315 can send notifications through the Tapo app when temperature or humidity moves outside a user-defined range.
This makes the monitor useful for situations where environmental conditions need attention, such as excessive humidity, unusually high temperature or unusually low temperature.
The Tapo T315 can act as a trigger for compatible Tapo smart devices. This allows temperature and humidity measurements to be used to automatically control connected appliances.
For example, a compatible Tapo smart plug can turn on a heater when the temperature drops below a selected level or activate a fan or humidifier when configured environmental conditions are reached.
The Tapo ecosystem can record temperature and humidity information and provide visual graphs for reviewing environmental changes over time. TP-Link provides up to 2 years of cloud data logging and storage, with recorded information available for export as a CSV file.
Historical data can help users understand temperature and humidity patterns and identify unusual changes over longer periods.
The Tapo T315 is powered by two replaceable AAA/LR03 batteries. TP-Link specifies battery life of up to 2 years based on laboratory results under normal conditions. Actual battery life can vary depending on operating conditions and environment.

The Tapo T315 can be placed on a desk, table or shelf, or mounted on a wall using the included adhesive. It can also be positioned on a suitable metallic surface.
A compatible Tapo Smart Hub is required to enable the T315’s smart functions. The monitor communicates through the specified Sub-1G wireless band rather than connecting directly to a conventional Wi-Fi router.
