MikroTik hEX S (2025) E60iUGS is a compact, high-performance wired RouterOS router designed for homes, offices, small businesses, labs, branch networks and advanced networking environments where wireless connectivity is not required. This refreshed hEX S combines 5× Gigabit Ethernet ports, a 2.5G-capable SFP port, passive PoE-Out, USB 3.0 and a modern dual-core 950 MHz ARM CPU with 512 MB RAM.
The E60iUGS is the 2025-generation hEX S and follows the refreshed hEX platform, providing a significant hardware upgrade over the older RB760iGS hEX S. It runs RouterOS v7 with License Level 4, making it suitable for routing, firewall, VLAN, VPN, DHCP, bandwidth management and other advanced network configurations.
One of the major differences between the E60iUGS and the standard hEX refresh is the addition of an SFP interface. The hEX S (2025) includes one SFP port with 2.5G support, making it suitable for fiber-based or SFP-based uplinks where a faster connection than conventional Gigabit Ethernet is required.
This interface can be useful for connecting the router to an upstream fiber network, compatible SFP/SFP+ infrastructure or a higher-speed aggregation switch, depending on the installed transceiver and network design.
The MikroTik E60iUGS provides five 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports. These ports can be configured using RouterOS for WAN connectivity, LAN networks, VLANs, bridge configurations, routing and other network services.
Ether5 additionally supports passive PoE-Out, allowing the router to power a compatible passive-PoE device directly. The PoE-Out capability is limited to Ether5 and should not be confused with an IEEE 802.3af/at PoE-Out switch.
The E60iUGS provides passive PoE-Out up to 57V through Ether5. The maximum output current is specified as 0.5A. This makes Ether5 useful for powering compatible MikroTik equipment from the same power source used by the router.
Because the PoE-Out is passive, the connected device must be compatible with the supplied voltage and passive PoE arrangement. Passive PoE-Out should not be treated as automatic IEEE 802.3af/at PoE negotiation.
The hEX S (2025) supports 802.3af/at PoE-In with an input voltage range of 18–57V. It also has a DC power input supporting 12–57V. This provides flexibility for installations where the router can be powered either from a DC adapter or from compatible PoE infrastructure.
The MikroTik E60iUGS is powered by a dual-core EN7562CT processor running at 950 MHz. It also includes 512 MB of DDR3 RAM, 128 MB NAND storage and RouterOS v7 License Level 4. This hardware platform provides a modern foundation for routing, firewalling, VLANs, VPNs and other RouterOS functions.
RouterOS v7 gives the hEX S (2025) a broad set of networking capabilities. Depending on the configuration, it can be deployed as an internet gateway, firewall router, VLAN router, DHCP server, VPN endpoint, bandwidth management device or small-business edge router.
The router includes one USB 3.0 Type-A port with up to 1A USB current capability. The USB interface can be used with supported peripherals and RouterOS-compatible applications, depending on the deployment requirements.
With dimensions of approximately 113 × 89 × 28 mm, the MikroTik hEX S (2025) is designed for compact installations. Its passive cooling design avoids the need for an internal fan, making it suitable for environments where quiet operation is preferred.
The device has an IP20 enclosure rating and is designed for indoor use. Its specified operating temperature range is -40°C to +70°C.

The E60iUGS hEX S (2025) should not be confused with the older RB760iGS hEX S. The older model uses a dual-core 880 MHz CPU and 256 MB RAM, while the E60iUGS uses a dual-core 950 MHz EN7562CT processor and 512 MB RAM. The newer E60iUGS also provides a 2.5G-capable SFP interface and 802.3af/at PoE-In.
The E60iUGS is also distinct from the hEX refresh E50UG. The E60iUGS adds the SFP interface while retaining the modern refreshed hardware platform.
