The switch combines 16 × 10/100 Ethernet ports, 15 reverse PoE ports and 2 SFP ports in a rugged outdoor-oriented enclosure.
The key feature of netPower 15FR is its reverse PoE architecture. Instead of requiring a dedicated power supply at the switch location, the device can draw power from connected PoE-capable clients. This makes it useful for ISP distribution networks where customer premises equipment can provide power back to the network switch.
