The MikroTik RB4011iGS+RM is a high-performance wired router designed for business networks, SMB infrastructure, branch offices, network aggregation and advanced routing applications. It combines 10× Gigabit Ethernet ports, a dedicated 10G SFP+ interface, a quad-core ARM processor, 1GB RAM and MikroTik RouterOS v7 in a compact rackmount-ready metal enclosure.
The RB4011iGS+RM belongs to the RB4011 family and is specifically the Ethernet-only rackmount model. It does not include integrated Wi-Fi, making it suitable for installations where wireless access points are deployed separately or where the router is used as a central wired networking and routing platform.
The RB4011iGS+RM provides ten 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports for copper network connections. In addition, its dedicated SFP+ cage supports 10Gbps connectivity using a compatible SFP+ module, DAC or active optical cable.
This combination allows the router to connect multiple Gigabit clients, switches, access points and other network devices while providing a high-speed 10G uplink for network aggregation or backbone connectivity.
The SFP+ interface also accepts compatible SFP modules, giving the device flexibility for different fiber and copper network designs. MikroTik’s documentation specifically identifies the interface as supporting both SFP and SFP+ modules.
At the heart of the RB4011iGS+RM is a quad-core AL21400 ARM processor with a nominal frequency range of up to 1.9GHz depending on operating conditions. The router includes 1GB RAM and 512MB NAND storage.
This hardware platform gives RouterOS sufficient resources for advanced routing, firewall policies, VPN deployments, VLAN configurations, traffic management and other network services used in business and professional networking environments.
The RB4011iGS+RM runs MikroTik RouterOS v7 and includes a Level 5 RouterOS license. RouterOS provides a comprehensive networking feature set for professional deployments.
The device supports RouterOS version 7 or later. MikroTik recommends keeping RouterOS updated for performance, stability and security improvements.
The RB4011iGS+RM provides passive PoE functionality for flexible deployment. Ethernet port 1 supports passive PoE-in with an input range of 18–57V DC, while the dedicated power jack accepts 12–57V DC.
Ethernet port 10 supports passive PoE-out. The PoE-out voltage can reach up to 57V, with the current capability depending on the input voltage and operating conditions. MikroTik specifies a maximum total PoE-out current of 600mA.
Important: RB4011iGS+RM uses passive PoE-out rather than IEEE 802.3af/at active PoE negotiation. The connected device must therefore be compatible with the supplied passive PoE voltage.
The RB4011iGS+RM comes with rackmount hardware and is designed to fit a standard 1U rack space. Its solid metal enclosure provides a professional form factor for network cabinets, server rooms, communication racks and business infrastructure installations.
The device measures approximately 228 × 120 × 30 mm. It uses passive cooling and has no requirement for an internal fan-based cooling system.
One of the major advantages of the RB4011iGS+RM is its integrated 10G SFP+ port. The interface can be used as a high-speed uplink toward a 10G switch, aggregation device, server or another compatible networking platform.
For example, the Gigabit Ethernet ports can serve local users, access points and network equipment while the SFP+ interface provides a higher-speed connection toward the network core. The actual link speed and throughput depend on the installed module or cable, connected equipment and network configuration.
The RB4011 platform includes hardware acceleration for IPsec workloads. MikroTik’s published testing reports approximately 1.03Gbps single-tunnel IPsec throughput using AES-128-CBC with SHA1 and 1400-byte packets under its specified test conditions. A 256-tunnel test reached approximately 1.29Gbps under the same cipher/hash combination.
These figures are manufacturer laboratory results rather than guaranteed application throughput. Actual VPN performance can vary according to encryption settings, packet sizes, firewall rules, tunnel count and overall configuration.
MikroTik’s official testing reports approximately 9.79Gbps of 1518-byte packet throughput for both bridging and routing in the specified fast-path test configuration. With 25 IP filter rules, the published 1518-byte routing result is approximately 7.21Gbps.
These measurements were performed using specialized Xena Networks test equipment according to the manufacturer’s stated test methodology. Real-world performance depends on firewall rules, queues, packet sizes, routing features, VPN encryption and traffic patterns.
The combination of ten Gigabit ports, 10G SFP+, RouterOS v7 and rackmount installation makes the RB4011iGS+RM suitable for a wide range of wired networking applications.
The RB4011iGS+RM is a wired Ethernet router. It does not have integrated wireless radios or Wi-Fi antennas.
