MikroTik cAP lite is a compact dual-chain 2.4GHz wireless access point designed for hospitality, public spaces, offices and other deployments where a small and discreet WiFi device is required. Its exact product code is RBcAPL-2nD.
The cAP lite supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi 4 with a maximum theoretical wireless data rate of 300 Mbps. It includes one 10/100 Ethernet port, 802.3af/at PoE-in, passive cooling and RouterOS with a Level 4 license.
MikroTik specifically positions the cAP lite for locations such as hotels, airports, shopping malls and hospitality environments, where multiple compact access points can be centrally managed through CAPsMAN.
The cAP lite operates exclusively on the 2.4GHz band and supports the 802.11b/g/n wireless standards. Its two wireless chains provide a maximum theoretical PHY rate of up to 300 Mbps.
The 300 Mbps figure is a theoretical wireless PHY rate. Actual client throughput depends on client capability, channel utilization, interference, distance, channel configuration and environmental conditions.
One of the main advantages of the MikroTik cAP lite is its compact physical design. MikroTik supplies both wall and ceiling-style enclosures, allowing the access point to blend into different installation environments.
The ceiling enclosure measures approximately 88mm in diameter and 20mm in height, while the wall enclosure measures approximately 88 × 52 × 20mm.
The interchangeable enclosure concept makes the cAP lite suitable for installations where the appearance of the network equipment is an important consideration.
The cAP lite is designed to work with MikroTik CAPsMAN, allowing multiple compatible MikroTik access points to be managed from a centralized RouterOS-based controller.

Although the tested temperature range is broad, the cAP lite should not be treated as an outdoor weatherproof access point. It does not have an outdoor IP-rated enclosure.
