MikroTik CSS326-24G-2S+RM is a 24-port Gigabit Ethernet managed switch designed for business networks, server rooms, CCTV networks, office infrastructure, structured cabling deployments and other wired networking environments.
The switch provides 24 × 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports together with 2 × SFP+ ports supporting high-speed fiber or copper modules up to 10Gbps. It runs SwOS, MikroTik’s dedicated switch operating system, providing web-based management and Layer 2 switching features.
The main connectivity of the MikroTik CSS326 comes from its 24 individual Gigabit Ethernet ports. Each RJ45 interface supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet with automatic speed negotiation.
These ports can be used for computers, IP phones, wireless access points, CCTV cameras, printers, servers, NAS systems and other Ethernet-connected devices.

All 24 Ethernet ports are connected through the switch chip, allowing the device to operate as a high-density Layer 2 Gigabit switch.
For high-speed uplinks, the CSS326-24G-2S+RM includes two SFP+ cages. These ports can accept compatible 10G SFP+ modules as well as supported 1.25G SFP modules.
This makes it possible to connect the switch to a 10G aggregation switch, server, storage system, core switch or fiber backbone while using the 24 Gigabit ports for access devices.

The SFP+ cages can therefore be used for high-speed fiber uplinks or compatible copper transceiver connections.
The MikroTik CSS326 runs SwOS, a lightweight operating system specifically designed for MikroTik switches.
SwOS is configured through a web browser and provides the management functions required for Layer 2 network switching.
Unlike the similarly named CRS326-24G-2S+RM, the CSS326 is a SwOS-only model. It should not be marketed as a RouterOS/SwOS dual-boot switch.

MikroTik specifies maximum power consumption of approximately 19W for the CSS326-24G-2S+RM. Actual consumption depends on the operating conditions and connected modules.
The switch is therefore suitable for installations where a relatively low-power 24-port Gigabit switching platform with 10G uplinks is required.
The CSS326 uses the Marvell 98DX3216A1 switch chip. The switching architecture provides non-blocking Layer 2 switching for the Ethernet interfaces.
The original MikroTik specification lists a 16K host table, providing substantial MAC address capacity for typical business and professional Layer 2 networks.

The CSS326-24G-2S+RM is designed for rackmount installation and uses a standard 1U form factor.
Its dimensions are approximately 443 × 144 × 44 mm. Rack ears are included for installation in a standard rack enclosure. It can also be placed on a desktop where appropriate.
The CSS326 is designed for indoor installation. MikroTik specifies an IPX0 rating, meaning the enclosure does not provide protection against water contamination.
The switch should therefore be installed in a dry, ventilated environment such as a network rack, server room, office or communications cabinet.
The product name should be checked carefully before purchase because MikroTik has both CSS326-24G-2S+RM and CRS326-24G-2S+RM models.

The CSS and CRS models should therefore not be treated as interchangeable simply because their port counts and names are similar. MikroTik’s current documentation explicitly identifies the CSS326 as SwOS-only.
