MikroTik hEX PoE Lite RB750UPr2 is a compact five-port wired Ethernet router with integrated passive PoE output for powering compatible network devices. It is designed for small offices, SOHO networks, IP camera installations, VoIP deployments and MikroTik-based network environments where multiple low-voltage PoE devices need to be powered from a single router.
The hEX PoE Lite combines a 650MHz single-core QCA9531 processor, 64MB RAM, 16MB Flash storage and RouterOS Level 4 in a compact fanless enclosure. All five Ethernet ports support 10/100 Mbps connectivity, while Ether2 through Ether5 provide passive PoE-Out. The device also includes a USB 2.0 Type-A port for compatible peripherals.
The RB750UPr2 provides five individual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports. These ports can be configured through RouterOS for WAN, LAN, bridging, routing, firewall and other networking functions.
It is important to note that the hEX PoE Lite is a Fast Ethernet router, not a Gigabit Ethernet router. Each Ethernet interface is limited to 10/100 Mbps, making the device more appropriate for lower-bandwidth network deployments.
The major feature of the hEX PoE Lite is its integrated passive PoE-Out on Ether2, Ether3, Ether4 and Ether5. This allows compatible devices to receive both network connectivity and power from the hEX PoE Lite without requiring a separate PoE injector for every device.
The PoE output uses the same voltage as the device’s input voltage. The PoE output is passive, so it is important to verify the required voltage and PoE type of the connected equipment before enabling PoE-Out. MikroTik’s documentation states that PoE-Out is disabled by default and can be enabled on the relevant Ethernet ports through RouterOS.
The current MikroTik product specification lists a 1A current limit per PoE-Out port and 2A maximum total PoE-Out current.
The hEX PoE Lite can receive power through passive PoE on Ether1 or through its DC power input. The current official product page specifies an input range of 8–30V DC for both the DC jack and passive PoE input.
When powering PoE devices from Ether2–Ether5, the available output voltage follows the input voltage. This makes power planning particularly important for installations using multiple connected devices.
The hEX PoE Lite can be useful in installations where several compatible low-voltage network devices need to be powered from one central unit. Typical applications include compatible MikroTik access points, wireless devices, IP cameras, VoIP equipment and other passive-PoE devices.
Because the PoE output is passive PoE, it should not be treated as a universal IEEE 802.3af/at PoE switch. The connected device must support the appropriate passive PoE voltage and pin configuration.
The RB750UPr2 uses a single-core QCA9531 processor running at 650MHz. It is paired with 64MB RAM and 16MB Flash storage.
This hardware platform is designed for the router’s core RouterOS functions, including routing, firewall, NAT, DHCP, bridging and network management.

The key difference is that the hEX PoE Lite RB750UPr2 can provide passive PoE-Out on four Ethernet ports, while the standard hEX Lite RB750r2 does not provide this four-port PoE-Out capability. The RB750UPr2 is therefore useful when powering compatible passive-PoE devices is part of the network design.
The RB750UPr2 uses 10/100 Ethernet, so it is not intended for Gigabit network links. If a deployment requires Gigabit Ethernet together with PoE-Out, a newer MikroTik PoE router or PoE switch should be considered instead.
