MikroTik LHG XL HP5 RBLHG-5HPnD-XL is a long-range 5GHz outdoor wireless CPE designed for point-to-point links, wireless backhaul and remote network connectivity. It combines a high-power dual-chain 5GHz 802.11a/n radio with an integrated 27 dBi dual-polarized grid antenna, providing a directional wireless platform for long-distance outdoor deployments.
The LHG XL HP5 is the larger XL version of the LHG HP5 and uses a 550 mm diameter grid reflector. It features a 600 MHz AR9344 processor, 64 MB RAM, 16 MB flash storage, one 10/100 Ethernet port and passive PoE power input. MikroTik specifies a maximum wireless data rate of 300 Mbps and a maximum power consumption of 7W.
The major feature of the LHG XL HP5 is its integrated 27 dBi directional grid antenna. The antenna and wireless radio are integrated into one outdoor CPE, eliminating the need for a separate external antenna and coaxial RF cable.
The XL reflector has an antenna beamwidth of approximately 6.4°, providing a relatively narrow directional pattern that is suitable for focused long-distance links. MikroTik’s published specifications list approximately 21 dBi cross-polarization discrimination, 18 dB port-to-port isolation and 35 dB front-to-back ratio for the XL antenna.

The LHG XL HP5 provides one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. This interface is used for network connectivity as well as powering the device through passive PoE.
The supported passive PoE input range is 10–28V DC. The device does not provide Gigabit Ethernet, so its wired Ethernet interface is limited to 10/100 Mbps.
The LHG XL HP5 runs MikroTik RouterOS with License Level 3. It can be configured for wireless CPE, station, bridge and point-to-point applications, along with RouterOS networking features appropriate to its license level.
