TP-Link EAP110-Outdoor 300Mbps Wireless N Outdoor Access Point
The TP-Link EAP110-Outdoor is a professional 300Mbps 2.4GHz outdoor wireless access point designed for extending Wi-Fi coverage across outdoor areas such as gardens, swimming pools, courtyards, campuses, hotels, resorts, restaurants and commercial properties.
It supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi on the 2.4GHz band with wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps. The access point features two external 3dBi omnidirectional waterproof antennas, an IP65 weatherproof enclosure and 24V passive PoE for flexible outdoor installation.
TP-Link specifies an outdoor transmission range of up to 200 metres under its field-test conditions. Actual coverage depends on the environment, obstacles, interference, client device and installation position.

300Mbps 2.4GHz Wireless N
The EAP110-Outdoor is a 2.4GHz-only wireless access point based on IEEE 802.11b/g/n. It provides a theoretical wireless rate of up to 300Mbps using 2×2 MIMO.
The 2.4GHz band is useful for outdoor deployments because it generally provides broader coverage and better penetration around obstacles than higher-frequency Wi-Fi bands. Actual wireless throughput is lower than the theoretical PHY rate in normal use and depends on the connected client, interference, channel utilization and environmental conditions.
Outdoor Wi-Fi Coverage up to 200 Metres
The EAP110-Outdoor is designed for applications where wireless connectivity needs to cover outdoor areas. TP-Link specifies up to 200 metres of outdoor transmission range based on field testing.
It can be used in environments such as:
- Hotels and resorts
- Gardens and courtyards
- Swimming pools
- Outdoor restaurants
- Schools and campuses
- Warehouses and industrial areas
- Farmhouses and large properties
- Parking and outdoor common areas
The 200m figure should not be treated as a guaranteed indoor or real-world coverage distance. Building materials, trees, walls, RF interference, client transmit power and mounting height can significantly affect actual coverage.
IP65 Weatherproof Outdoor Design
The EAP110-Outdoor features an IP65-rated weatherproof enclosure designed for outdoor Wi-Fi deployments. Its housing is designed to protect the internal electronics against dust and water ingress under the specified testing conditions.
Correct installation, cable sealing and grounding are important for maintaining outdoor protection. TP-Link also notes that lightning and ESD protection depend on proper installation, grounding and cable shielding.
Two External 3dBi Omnidirectional Antennas
The access point uses two detachable 3dBi omnidirectional waterproof antennas. The antennas distribute the wireless signal around the access point rather than focusing the signal into one narrow direction.
This makes the EAP110-Outdoor suitable for open outdoor areas where coverage is required around the mounting location.
24V Passive PoE
The EAP110-Outdoor supports 24V passive PoE. The included passive PoE adapter allows the access point to receive power through the Ethernet cable, simplifying installation where AC power is not conveniently available near the access point.
Important: This is 24V passive PoE, not standard IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. The included PoE adapter should be used according to TP-Link’s installation instructions.
10/100Mbps Ethernet Port
The EAP110-Outdoor has one 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet RJ45 port that supports passive PoE.
It does not have a Gigabit Ethernet port. Therefore, this model is best suited to deployments where Fast Ethernet connectivity is sufficient.
Omada SDN Centralized Management
The EAP110-Outdoor can be integrated into the TP-Link Omada SDN platform. Compatible Omada controllers can provide centralized management and monitoring for supported Omada access points, switches and gateways.
TP-Link lists support for Omada Hardware Controllers and Omada Software Controller, along with cloud access through supported controller configurations. The Omada App can also be used for configuration and monitoring.
Guest Wi-Fi and Captive Portal
The EAP110-Outdoor supports features designed for managed guest Wi-Fi deployments, including Captive Portal authentication. Depending on the controller and configuration, guest users can be presented with an authentication page before receiving network access.
TP-Link’s current India documentation lists authentication options including SMS, Facebook Wi-Fi and voucher-based authentication within the Omada ecosystem.
Multiple SSIDs and VLAN
The EAP110-Outdoor supports up to 8 SSIDs and provides management features such as SSID-to-VLAN mapping, wireless client isolation, MAC filtering and access control.
This allows a managed deployment to separate different wireless users or services, such as guest Wi-Fi, staff Wi-Fi and other network segments.
Wireless Management Features
The EAP110-Outdoor provides several wireless management functions through its supported management platform:
- Multiple SSIDs
- Automatic channel assignment
- Transmit power control
- WMM QoS
- Load balancing
- Rate limiting
- Wireless scheduling
- Wireless statistics
- Client isolation
- MAC address filtering
- SSID-to-VLAN mapping
- Rogue AP detection
- 802.1X support
