MikroTik cAP LTE12 ax is a dual-band WiFi 6 ceiling access point with an integrated LTE Cat12 modem, designed for businesses and locations that need both wireless LAN connectivity and cellular Internet access in a single compact device.
It combines 802.11ax WiFi 6, LTE Cat12, dual Gigabit Ethernet, PoE-in, PoE-out and RouterOS v7 with a powerful quad-core ARM64 processor and 1GB RAM. This makes the cAP LTE12 ax suitable for temporary businesses, pop-up stores, cafés, events, remote offices and other locations where a conventional fixed broadband connection may not be available or practical.
The integrated LTE Cat12 modem supports theoretical download speeds of up to 600 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbps, subject to carrier, signal conditions, spectrum availability and network configuration.
The cAP LTE12 ax provides dual-band WiFi 6 (802.11ax) connectivity using 2×2 radios on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
The 2.4GHz radio uses a QCN-5022 wireless chipset and provides up to 6 dBi antenna gain. The 5GHz radio also uses the QCN-5022 family and provides up to 5.5 dBi antenna gain.
The advertised wireless data rates are theoretical PHY rates. Actual WiFi throughput depends on client capability, channel width, interference, distance, environmental conditions and network configuration.
One of the main features that separates the cAP LTE12 ax from a conventional ceiling access point is its integrated LTE Cat12 modem.

Ether1 supports PoE-in, while Ether2 supports passive PoE-out. This allows the cAP LTE12 ax to power a compatible downstream device using Ethernet.

The device supports 802.3af/at PoE-in and passive PoE-out. This makes installation easier in locations where a suitable Ethernet cable can provide both network connectivity and power.
