The EAP625-Outdoor HD provides a theoretical wireless rate of up to 574Mbps on 2.4GHz and 1201Mbps on 5GHz, for a combined AX1800 wireless class. It supports Wi-Fi 6 technologies including OFDMA, 1024-QAM and 2×2 MU-MIMO to improve wireless efficiency when multiple devices are connected simultaneously.
Designed for high-density environments, TP-Link specifies support for 1,000+ concurrent clients under its stated test conditions. The EAP625-Outdoor HD is designed for environments where many wireless clients may need to connect to the same access point. Wi-Fi 6 technologies such as OFDMA and MU-MIMO help the access point efficiently serve multiple compatible devices.
OFDMA can divide wireless resources into smaller resource units, allowing multiple clients to communicate efficiently during suitable traffic conditions. MU-MIMO enables simultaneous communication with multiple compatible clients.
The access point also supports 1024-QAM, which can provide higher theoretical data rates under suitable signal conditions and with compatible Wi-Fi 6 client devices.
